Engine 03 · Loyalty

Retention that
pays for itself.

Loyalty points at the rate you set — base points on every payment, and a bonus the customer unlocks by writing a review. Then CURD Coins, the network currency other merchants have already funded, which brings you people who were never your customers.

CURD Coins

The network's currency, bought by merchants and spent across every listed brand. Not your points — demand somebody else paid for.

Loyalty points

One currency.
Two ways to earn it.

Base points and the review bonus are the same thing — your loyalty points. The only difference is how the customer gets them. Base points land automatically on every payment. The bonus has to be unlocked by writing a review.

Route 01 · Automatic

Base points

Everybody gets these, on every payment.

They land the moment the bill is paid — at the counter, at the table, on your own site or app, or on the marketplace. You set the rate, by category or by item, and how long they stay valid — 90 days, say. They cost you nothing until the customer comes back and spends them.

No action required. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to remember, nothing to claim.
Route 02 · Unlocked

Review bonus

Same points. The customer has to earn them.

After paying, the customer is shown a bonus sitting in their account — by default it matches what they just earned. Writing a verified review in CURD releases the bonus into the same balance. CURD then copies the review so they can paste it on Google — optional, and the bonus does not depend on it. If they do not review within 48 hours, the bonus lapses.

The short clock. Base points last for the validity period you set. The bonus has 48 hours, because it needs the customer to act.
Why it is one currency, not two. A customer should never have to work out which of three balances applies at the till. Base and bonus merge into a single loyalty balance the moment the bonus is unlocked — one number, spendable with you.
Loyalty tiers

The customers worth
the most, earn the most.

Tiers are optional, and off until you switch them on. When they are on, every customer still earns your loyalty rate — a tier only adds a bonus on top of it. Nobody earns less for being in a lower tier.

Why the bonus stacks

A tier bonus is added to your loyalty rate, not swapped for it. A Diamond customer on a 10% rate with three 1% steps behind them earns 13%, still split 50/50 between points at payment and the review bonus — one balance, one number at the till, and no separate tier currency to explain.

Still only paid on redemption. A higher tier costs you nothing until that customer comes back and spends the points with you.

What you can change

The qualifying measure, the threshold on each level, the bonus each level adds, the tier names, and how many levels there are. You can also decide whether a tier is kept for good once it is reached, or reviewed on a rolling window.

Keeping the tier is the default, because taking a status away from a customer who earned it costs more goodwill than the discount was ever worth.
Tiers are one lever, not the whole programme. They reward depth of spend. The review bonus rewards advocacy, and referral rewards pay on closed business — all three land in the same loyalty balance.

Two currencies

Your loyalty points.
And the network's Coins.

These are two separate things, and the difference matters. Loyalty points are yours — you issue them, they are spent with you, and nobody else can touch them. CURD Coins are the platform's currency — bought by merchants, held by customers, and spendable across every listed brand inside the marketplace.

One balance at the till. The customer sees a single number; the ledger behind it knows which part is yours.

Why two currencies rather than one

A single shared currency would mean your rewards funding someone else's sale. A single closed currency would mean nothing ever brings you a new customer. Keeping them separate holds both true at once: your points stay yours, and the network still circulates demand.

You never fund a stranger's sale

Your loyalty points can only ever be redeemed with you.

You get sales you did not pay for

Coins funded by other merchants are spent at your business, and you are reimbursed at 95%.

Brand collaborations

The bridge between two merchants,
without going through the network.

Collaboration points sit inside layer one. You and a partner brand agree to honour each other's points — so your customer discovers them and theirs are steered to you. Neither of you pays the other, and no platform fee applies.

01

You agree the partnership

Choose which brands you collaborate with and what share of points each side honours. A salon and a café, a clinic and a pharmacy, a gym and a nutritionist.

02

Points flow both ways

Your customer earns partner points they can only spend at that brand — and their customers earn points they can only spend at yours.

03

Each side funds its own

You cover the points redeemed with you; they cover theirs. No money changes hands between you, and CURD takes nothing.

Why a merchant says yes: a partner reward is a customer arriving with a reason to try you, already vouched for by a business they trust. It is the cheapest introduction available — the partner funded it.

What you configure

Your margins, your rules.

Loyalty rate by category or item

Different rates for products and services, or exclude a line entirely. Every rate splits 50/50: half at payment, half for a review.

The review bonus

Matches the base by default. Raise it, lower it, or switch it off — it is loyalty points either way.

Content cashback

Off by default. Set the percentage of the bill a customer earns for a reel, post or story on CURD — and on Instagram, if they share it there too. They get it in full; you pay a 25% service fee on it.

Partner brands

Choose who you collaborate with, and see what flows each way.

Zero platform fee, permanently. No software fee, no per-member fee, no tiers on the rewards programme itself. You set the rate and pay only what is redeemed. See full pricing

Clarity is what makes a programme get used. Most loyalty schemes fail because the customer cannot tell what they have, where it works or when it dies. One screen answers all three.

Questions

What merchants ask about rewards.

What rate should I set?

Most merchants start around 5% and adjust by category once they see redemption in Insights. You can weight it by item, so a high-margin line carries more and a low-margin one carries less or nothing at all.

Are base points and the review bonus different currencies?

No — both are your loyalty points. Base points land automatically on every payment. The bonus is the same points held back until the customer writes a review, and once unlocked it merges into the same balance. The customer sees one number.

What happens to points I have issued but nobody redeems?

They sit on your books as a liability until spent, and the outstanding balance is shown live in your dashboard. Unredeemed points cost you nothing in cash — but a very low redemption rate usually means the programme is not working, which is worth knowing.

Does CURD take a cut of loyalty points?

No. Zero platform fee on points and on the review bonus — no software fee, no per-member fee and no tiers. You pay only what a customer actually redeems with you.

Can a customer spend my points at another business?

Not unless you agree to it. Your loyalty points are a closed loop with you. Collaboration points are the only exception, and those exist because you and a partner brand chose to honour each other's.

What are CURD Coins costing me?

Nothing unless you buy them. If a customer arrives holding Coins another merchant funded, you honour them and are reimbursed at 95% — so it is a sale you did not pay to acquire.

Do I need Premium to run rewards?

No. Points, the review bonus, referrals and partner rewards are all free. Premium adds visibility, analytics and the transactional surfaces like quotes, appointments and table ordering.

Set your rate. Then let your customers work.

Rewards cost you nothing until a customer comes back and spends them — which is exactly the point.
